Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance

Criterium-Peters Engineers has expert staff certified for the review and preparation of designs for residential, municipal, commercial and industrial ADA compliant facilities. Our services are provided in accordance with the ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003 standards set down by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

We offer an excellent working knowledge of Architectural Features and Site Design of Public Buildings and Residential Structures for Persons with Disabilities as adopted by ANSI and submitted by the Accredited Standards Committee A117. These standards are compatible with UCC building code (PA) and its enforcement provisions, more commonly known as the International Code Council (ICC).

In addition to the above expertise, Criterium-Peters Engineers' experienced staff is also certified in standards and provisions for:

  • National Fire Alarm Codes

Criterium-Peters Engineers provides technical review and design for improving accessibility in all manner of buildings and new or existing construction projects. This may include sitewide, single facilities or buildings, single or multiple building elements, building alterations, new construction, and even temporary facilities.

Criterium-Peters Engineers provides technical review and design of housing facilities under the criteria of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Fair Housing Accessibility Guidelines for Type A and Type B housing units.
